Rochester Community and Technical College Bookstore Textbook Rental Agreement

1. I understand the textbook(s) rented to me are the property of Rochester Community and Technical College Bookstore. I accept responsibility to use the book and return it to the Bookstore in an acceptable condition at the end of the semester or I will be required to pay for a New textbook as a replacement. Textbooks cannot have ripped pages, excessive highlighting or water damage, if any of these conditions are found when the book is returned I will be charged for a New textbook.
2. I understand and accept responsibility to return my Spring rental textbook(s) to the Bookstore by May 14, 2025. (Do not put your rental books in the brown drop box or take them to the Library. If my rental textbook is lost, stolen or not returned by the above deadlines, I understand that I will be required to pay for a New textbook as a replacement for the rental textbook.
3. I authorize the Bookstore to charge my student account for a New textbook if the book is not returned by the deadline or if the textbook is not in acceptable condition (ripped pages, water damage, excessive highlighting). Normal collection proceedings will be taken if the account is not paid in full.
4. I understand that my rental fee is only refundable if my book is returned by the 5th day of the classes for Summer Session and the 10th day of classes for Fall and Spring Semester.(See Bookstore Return Policy on Bookstore Website).

     5. Alternative Rental Book Return Options: Mail your rental books back to the Bookstore at your own cost, the address is RCTC Bookstore 851 30th Ave SE Rochester, MN 55904. The package must be postmarked by the due date for that semester. Please include your name and Stinger ID number.
